Meet Our Directors

Susan Langford

Susan is a Texas girl who fell in love with an Oklahoma boy.  They met at Reach Week in Madill, OK in the summer of 02’.   They were both camp counselors that week.  They have been blessed in their almost 22 years of marriage to work with the Keller church of Christ where Kevin served as a family and youth minister for 10 years.  The last 12 years Kevin has served as the education and worship minister at the Lewisville church of Christ.  They have been incredibly grateful in their marriage to work and worship with two congregations that are near and dear to their hearts.  She has worked for 23 years in public education as a teacher, literacy coach, RTI coordinator, mentor, and now an instructional coach. It has been a field that continuously challenges her and teaches her the blessing of grace not only for herself but extending it to others. However, one of her greatest roles and most challenging is being a mom to her two blondes, Connor (15) & Kenzie (12).

Maci Jackson

Maci was born and raised in a small town in Texas and met her husband, Michael, in 2006 in the last place she thought she would ever meet anyone, her tiny hometown. They were married in July 2007 in the same hometown and church where they first met. Maci taught 4th grade Special Education in the north Austin area for 5 years until their first son was born. She and Michael now have three children: Jaydon (13), Kainyn (10), and Maddox (7). The Jacksons have lived in the DFW area since 2019. Before then, they were active members at the Gabriel Oaks Church of Christ in Georgetown, Texas. Now they worship and serve at Lewisville Church of Christ. Maci spends her days homeschooling her three children, teaching Bible classes, taking care of her family, and trying to keep up with their crazy schedules. This will be Maci‘s 4th year to be involved in OWLS, and her 2nd year being a Co-Director. She really enjoys spending time with the girls, getting to know each one and helping to encourage them in their walk with Christ.

Jolene McDonie

Jolene is a proud Texan who grew up in Lewisville. She graduated from Harding University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and the University of Rio Grande with her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts & Classroom Teaching. She has spent 23 years as an elementary school teacher. Her passion is teaching children to become lifelong readers and learners. When she isn’t teaching or volunteering, she loves spending time with her daughter, Tennyson (18) and Morkie dog Tucker. She and Tennyson enjoy crafting, shopping, all things Broadway, DIY’s, and relaxing at home with their spoiled little dog. Jolene is a member of the Lewisville Church of Christ, where she serves as Co-Director for OWLS and as a committee member for Woman to Woman. As a former breast cancer survivor, she also serves as Co-Director for Camp Esperanza, a camp for Children’s Medical patients with cancer. Volunteering is important to her as we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. What better way to do it than spending time serving and leading today’s youth!
